I recently made a decision: I will be unapologetically nomadic and peripatetic with my interests in life.  

I used to feel like there was something wrong with me for not picking one thing...a subject, a talent, a career path...and pursuing it with passion and drive. Don't get me wrong, here. I have passion to spare, and I drive like a lamborghini when my passion kicks in. But...the object of said passion and drive changes frequently, like *really* frequently. But you know what? There is nothing wrong with that! And it's taken me 44 years to come to that realization.

I'm Jessica - a mom, wife, writer and free spirit. Cheerfully Given is a collection of musings, projects, and whimsies that I hope will touch some part of your soul and help you realize that you're all right just the way you are. 2 Corinthians 9:7 is my favorite bible verse. And being the creative gal that I am, I found a way to relate that verse to my approach to life. I cheerfully give my love, excitement, and time where it is needed and to what gives me joy - in the hopes of bringing joy to others as well. If I devoted myself to one path in life, I would not be cheerfully giving who I am. I admire those who are. I truly do, but that just ain't me.

A toddler, a state legislator hubby, and a house full of fur babies. I'm happy, fulfilled, and some days totally overwhelmed! I love art, traveling, museums, new experiences, animals, laughing, and giving to those in need.
